DAY #1
Arrive in Key West and check in to your chosen hotel.
The warm weather of Key West always lends itself to some water activity so why not make that your first stop? Is there a better way to embrace Florida than to take a splash into the warm waters with a tropical cocktail in hand?
Some beach time and later a fun culinary experience is a great way to start your first day in Key West! (Today’s activities are based on arrival time).
DAY #2
This morning enjoy a very short drive or walk to some of the key spots in Key West. From the Little White House, to the Maritime museum and the world recognized Hemingway Home – this little community is filled with history.
Lunch is always a treat in the Keys, especially when focused on the fresh products brought in daily from the sea.
After lunch, some time spent in the local microbrewery or any of the famous local bars is a relaxing way to spend the afternoon.
Prior to dinner arrangements (for which we are happy to make suggestions), stop by Mallory Square to enjoy some live music, cocktails and an amazing sunset.
DAY #3
Today start off the day with a fun bike or walking tour, leading into a casual few hours in the village area before a fascinating cemetery tour. Enjoy the history of this area, with your private guide which will include a number of eerie and funny tales about this very special area. The Key West Cemetery is known for its unusual gravestones that have been visited by tourists since 1847. You’ll enjoy taking the time to read through the different notable one-liners on the tombstones.
This afternoon is free to explore as you and your group desires.
DAY #4
Plan to start today early as you’ll spend the day in the remote Dry Tortugas National Park. This location is a very unique eco-attraction with the abandoned Fort Jefferson at the center of seven uninhabited islands. The Fort’s unique history during the Civil War, its time as both a hospital and prison, and the way nature has reclaimed it through the century creates a very unique experience. The waters here are also crystal clear, so that snorkeling and the use of the secluded beaches will be a treat. Return back to Key West in the late afternoon.
All travel to the national park is via ferry or private boat.
We are happy to make dinner suggestions and/or reservations for you this evening.
